IndustryWeek formally presented the award to MSA
on November 2, 2000, during a ceremony at the Murrysville facility,
where millions of hardhats and thousands of breathing apparatus
(SCBA) are made yearly. (Murrysville, Pennsylvania, is located
about 20 miles east of Pittsburgh.)
What a terrific accomplishmentand what a team effort
to get us there, remarked MSA chairman and CEO John T. Ryan
III to all MSA associates. This achievement is a credit
to the dedication and ingenuity of all of our associates at the
Murrysville facility. We cannot be prouder of them.
MSA
president Tom Hotopp added, This typifies what MSA is capable
of doing throughout the entire organization. We have said many
times that our people are what sets us apart from the competition.
Each of us has it in us to be the best, and to continue to make
MSA an exceptional place to work.
