Smaller battery pack, lighter weight make new OptimAir MM 2K PAPR perfect for hazardous environments

New improvements make our most popular PAPR (Powered Air-Purifying Respirator) lighter, less expensive, and more appealing to workers in hazardous particulate environments of industrial, nuclear, and asbestos industries.

The new battery pack, motor/blower, cable, and battery charger are arguably the best available. The low-profile NiMH (nickel metal hydride) battery pack measures only 3" x 5" x 1.5". It is small enough to fit into your pocket, weighs only 12.5 oz., and provides eight hours of continuous use. Designed for easy shower decontamination, the battery pack is sealed and water-resistant.

The dual-rate smart charger charges a fully discharged battery in under three hours, then switches to a trickle-charge to prevent over-charging. The smart charger can be connected to the battery pack indefinitely, without causing damage to the battery. A single three-color LED indicates the battery condition.

For versatility, comfort, and best fit, the OptimAir MM 2K is available with Ultravue® or Ultra Elite® Facepiece in silicone or hycar material and in small, standard, and large sizes.
