 MSA buys French helmet manufacturer In May 2002, MSA bought CGF Gallet of France, the leading European manufacturer of protective helmets for the fire service and specialized head protection for law enforcement, aviation, and military personnel.
Fire Knight is first Gallet helmet in U.S. market Comfortable and lightweight (53 oz.), the Fire Knight features a “jet style” fiberglass outer shell with retractable parabolic faceshield to maximize user coverage while minimizing the helmet’s profile. The high-density foam impact cap provides superior thermal, impact, and penetration protection. When stowed under the outer helmet shell, the faceshield is protected from fireground damage. Available in six colors with a variety of accessories, the Fire Knight helmet meets the NFPA 1971-2000 Standard on Protective Ensemble for Structural Firefighting.
